Tips while cooking this dish:
- pinch the fish and draw 2–3 slits to keep the flesh from folding upwards
- do not flip more than 2x, allow to rest in the olive oil and be patient

Spices
1 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp fresh cracked black pepper
1 clove of garlic minced
1/4 tsp Raja brand tandoori masala (my mom trusts this brand)
2 tsp honey
Raw Ingredients
2 hearty salmon fillets
Directions
- Season the fish with kosher salt and set aside for 5 min.
- Use a nonstick pan and pour in olive oil allowing it come to a medium-high temperature, add the minced garlic.
- Carefully place the fish (skin side down) on the pan and allow it to cook for about 1 min until the color starts changing 1/2 way from the bottom to the top of the fish.
- Quickly sprinkle tandoori masala, pepper, salt, and flip over.
- Allow the fish to cook for around 30–45 sec more on high heat then carefully remove the fish from the pan and let it cool for 2 min before service.
