Prep time: 5 min
Cook Time: 3 min
Serves: 2 people

Tips while cooking this dish:
- pinch the fish and draw 2–3 slits to keep the flesh from folding upwards
- do not flip more than 2x, allow to rest in the olive oil and be patient

Ingredients

Spices
1 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp fresh cracked black pepper
1 clove of garlic minced
1/4 tsp Raja brand tandoori masala (my mom trusts this brand)
2 tsp honey

Raw Ingredients
2 hearty salmon fillets

Directions

  1. Season the fish with kosher salt and set aside for 5 min.
  2. Use a nonstick pan and pour in olive oil allowing it come to a medium-high temperature, add the minced garlic.
  3. Carefully place the fish (skin side down) on the pan and allow it to cook for about 1 min until the color starts changing 1/2 way from the bottom to the top of the fish.
  4. Quickly sprinkle tandoori masala, pepper, salt, and flip over.
  5. Allow the fish to cook for around 30–45 sec more on high heat then carefully remove the fish from the pan and let it cool for 2 min before service.
